Today I am recommending you two different options to your usual mashed potatoes: Gluten Free Garlic Cauliflower Mash and Cinnamon Organic Mashed Sweet Potatoes. These are incredible dishes, full of flavor and extremely nutritious! When planning your Thanksgiving meal, make sure you try them out: this way you can offer your guests both a savory and a sweet choice. They are easy to make and you can prepare a small or as big of a batch as you need (go big, I assure you there won’t be any leftovers!).

Nicole’s GLUTEN FREE GARLIC CAULIFLOWER MASH
Gluten Free – Grain Free – Low Carb – Clean Eating – Vegetarian Recipe
(2 servings)
Ingredients:
1 medium/large Cauliflower head
1 Garlic clove
1 Tbsp Organic Virgin Coconut Oil
½ cup Organic Coconut Milk (canned, full fat)
½ cup grated Parmesan Cheese
Salt & Pepper
1 Green Onion (optional)
Cut the cauliflower florets and ‘rice’ them in your food processor (make sure you cut the stems off, only use the florets). Place the cauliflower rice in a bowl, cover it, and microwave for 7-8 minutes (do not add any water, and make sure the bowl is microwave safe). In a medium sauce pan on low heat, combine the coconut oil and finely chopped garlic. Saute’ it for a couple of minutes, add the cauliflower, Parmesan cheese, coconut milk, salt & pepper to taste. Mix well. Serve warm topped with a finely chopped green onion.

Ingredients:
2 medium or 3 small Organic Sweet Potatoes
1 Tbsp Organic Virgin Coconut Oil
2 Tbsp Organic Unrefined Coconut Sugar
1 Tsp Cinnamon
½ Tsp Nutmeg
Pinch of Paprika
Peel and cut your potatoes, place them in a medium saucepan with salted water and from the moment it starts boiling cook for 15-17 minutes. When ready, drain, place back in the pan (or a bowl) and mash with a fork. Add the coconut oil, the sugar, cinnamon and paprika. Fold in your ingredients well. Serve warm sprinkled with nutmeg.
